The festival is the largest authentic medieval event in Australia. It spans a thousand years in Europe and the Middle East from the Dark Ages to the High Middle Ages, from AD 600 to 1600. There is something for all ages at the Tournament. The breath-taking pageantry of the Joust; the courage and skill of knights in armed combats; a new and spectacular Grand Parade with over 500 re-enactors parading from the castle; a Masque Ball, educational talks and exotic food. Visit the renowned Medieval market to indulge your shopping fantasies or the Stag Inn and the Tavern to satisfy your thirst. There is music, dance, arts and crafts and rich photographic opportunities.
The Festival is on the 11th and 12th of July this year and once again requires photographer volunteers to capture all the action.
If you'd like to be involved then be quick because time is short. The application form is available here

He who binds to himself a joy
Does the winged life destroy
But he who kisses joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise.
There's always the Abbey!
Which is far too close.
Yeah Abbey is totally far too close. We need to finish our tent and make multiple costumes and organise lots...arghh
But I will have contacts!

What's wrong with the costumes you have now??
Hooray for contacts! As much fun as stumbling around blind is...
Well, theres nothing *wrong* with my costumes...but there are always things that can be perfected, and new costumes that can be made
